The Bowl Championship Series (BCS)

Does the BCS think we are all idiots? With the chance to pair up some very interesting college football bowl games in the BCS they failed. The BCS failed miserably at giving us compelling NCAA football matchups for the Bowl season. There will be some good games and I have no problem with Alabama Crimson Tide vs Texas Longhorns in the "championship game". My problem and apparently a lot of college football fans problems is the remaining pairings. This year we have two very good teams from non-qualifying conferences getting into the BCS. What does the wimps at the BCS decide to do? They pair the two teams giving us Boise St vs Texas Tech. This will be a good game but is vastly unfair to the participants. Both these teams deseved a shot at a team from a major conference. Why? To prove themselves against "stronger" competition. The BCS took the easy way out. They in know way wanted either of these deserving teams to crash the party and prove that the automatic conference bids are a sham. What happens if TCU gets a crack at the ACC champs Georgia Tech? What happens if Boise St. gets a shot at the Big East champs Cincinnati (besides a ton of points)? What happens if either team gets a shot at Tim Tebow led Florida? They might win that's what.

Why would this be a bad thing for the BCS and college football? Because it would show how much crap the current system is. No way they alow these party crashers a chance to embarass a champ from an automatic conference qualifier. That would throw a wrench into the tenuous BCS picture and further the call for a playoff which the winner would possibly be The Horned Frogs of TCU. A copout from the BCS. This BCS crap needs to go now!

Derrion Albert

Another senseless death. This one makes me sick to my stomach. This kid was doing all the right things. Honor student, active in the church, he was just trying to get home after school. He had nothing to do with the two "gangs" that converged on the street and stomped him to death. Who is at fault? The young men who murdered him for sure, but this needs to be taken a step further. Arrest their crap-ass parents. Somebody failed to raise these monsters. They should be held accountable also. This country is going to shit on a shingle and a lot of the problems can be traced back to a lack of parenting. I'm talking whites, blacks, yellows, grays, purples. It doesn't matter the color of your skin, the whole country is at fault. Nobody is raising kids with morals, kids with a sense of right and wrong, kids who value life. You can blame it on tv and video game violence, you can blame it on anything you want but the bottom line is the parenting in this country sucks!

Sports Betting

I find it quite ridiculous that I am told what I can and cannot do with my hard earned money. I am a grown ass man yet the government feels it knows best what I should do with my cash. Give me one good reason why I shouldn't be able to place a wager on the outcome of the Monday night football game. There is none. It's my money, that is the bottom line. Get of your high and mighty asses and legalize online gambling. I'm all grown up, I think I can handle it!

Obama

It seems every time our President opens his mouth some group gets their panties in a bunch. The latest uproar is because he called Kanye West a Jackass. Um, what is wrong with that. The President does have an opinion on things and I for one would like to here it without every Tom, Dick, and shit-head raising cain over it.

Hate to break it to people but Kanye West is a jackass. This is a reason to get upset? The President says what we all know (or should know) and he gets lambasted? GROW UP AMERICA!
We spent years of Bush blabbing and never had this much fervor over his assinine babble.

Reality TV Killer

Is it any surprise that this has happened. For those that have no tv here is a breakdown: Scum reality loser kills fake looking barbie wanna be. Ryan Jenkins, who has appeared on MTV and VH1 reality tv shows such as Megan wants a millionaire, killed Jasmine Fiore then fled to Canada and hanged himself. WTF. The dude cut off her fingers and removed her teeth among other things and stuffed her in a suitcase. WTF. The jackass probably thought he got away with it. Oops! He forgot one thing. Barbie had huge fake boobs. Huge fake tatas have serial numbers on each implant. Busted, fled, Canada, suicide. Now that's a reality show.

Ted Kennedy 1939-2009

Another icon passed away. Ted Kennedy is the last of this iconic american family. JFK, Bobby, and Teddy. I for one believe that Teddy would have been one hell of a president and the country is none the better for never electing him. Rest in peace Teddy and we thank you for you unwavering service to our country.

Rape Victim Wasn't At Fault

Ya Think. Idiots at a Marriott hotel in Samford, Conn came to this Einsteinian revelation after blaming a 40-year-old mother of two for getting raped at gunpoint in front of her young children in the hotel parking garage.

The Marriott had claimed that the woman, and I quote, "failed to exercise due care for proper use of her senses and facilities."

I can no longer give this company any more of my hard-earned greenbacks. This may be the most ignorant corporate bullshit that I have ever heard. Nothing else from me Marriott!

Huh?

In the no common sense goes this http://www.cnn.com/2009/CRIME/08/11/georgia.child.support/index.html

The man paid child support for 13 years on a kid that wasn't his. Fell behind and spent a year in jail even though the judge and DA were aware the kid wasn't his. WTF? Absurdity at its finest. Is there no common sense left in the world? I am amazed each day by the stupidity of those in charge. WTF?

Speaking Of The Devil

What impeccable timing. I bitch about the dead and missing kids network and who shows up in the USA Today? The ringleader herself, Nancy Grace. Now I appreciate the fact that she means well but chill already. This chick is way to intense and her owl looks make me turn the channel every time.

Watching The News

The news really sucks. Watching HLN better known as the dead and missing kids network. They have been rambling on about the Mexican Mafia, some dude named Cab Tice and the Billings murder. The Billings were done in by a bunch of dirtbags. No more, no less. The scabs robbed them and killed them. No need to make it any bigger than it is. It was a tragedy, leave it at that.

WTF?

How does a team score 13 runs, have leads of 3-0, 8-2, 12-2, and 13-7 lose the baseball game? I have no clue either. The Minnesota Twins have an idea. In fact they pulled off this amazing feat, losing to the Oakland A's 14-13 last night. Unbelievable! Not a fan of either but WTF? Get some damn pitchers already.

Couple Murdered

In this day and age that headline barely gets a response. The rest of the headline better get you pissed of at the senseless loss of life and the devastation this act of violence has caused.

Couple Who Adopted 12 Children Slain. This makes me sick to my stomach. Byrd and Melanie Billings had 16 children. 16 children now traumatized for life and parentless. For what? I ask again, for what? How could one do this to other human beings? How are these monsters created and what can we do to curb the violence in this world? Plenty of questions, few answers. Our prayers go out to the deceased and their family, their going to need them,

Infidelity

Infidelity, cheating on your spouse, adulterer, what ever you would like to call it. "It" seams that it is alright to practice this. Just take a look at the recent headlines beyond Steve McNair.

Take a look at this quick list of politicos that have crumbled in infidelity: John Edwards, Sen. John Ensign, Larry Craig, Elliot Spitzer, David Vitter, South Carolina Gov Mark Sanford. What does this say about our societ? I am afraid it doesn't say anything good. NFL players getting murdered by their mistress, MLB players walking out on their families, political ambition, and countless families ruined.

Is it worth it? I find it very hard to believe cheating on your spouse is worth you career, your reputation, your family, your life! Grow a sack fellas. You want to screw around on your wife? Be a real man and make her not your wife first. You want to sleep around? Divorce first, sleep around all you want after. Show some respect for someone you claimed to love!

Steve McNair 1973-2009

Once again we are here talking about death. Funny how that works isn't it. Steve McNair brought many people excitement. I have always been a big fan. I loved his toughness, his willingness to put it on the line for his team. Still liked him after his toughness cost me the fantasy football championship. The toughness had gotten me to that point so I couldn't be to upset.

Off the field the Quarterback seems to be like so many other men, unable to commit to their wife and their children. Was it worth it Steve? Obviously not. The Iranian waitress, who it seems shot the QB before turning the gun on herself, must have thought it was worth it. The way I understand it is McNair pulled an affair con, and it cost him his life. It looks as if McNair had mentioned divorce and marriage to this young woman, as many men have done. When the truth came out, no divorce no marriage, the waitress snapped. Now both are dead. My prayers go out to both families in this oh so avoidable tragedy, and I ask Steve McNair once again-Whas it worth it?

Farrah Fawcett 1947-2009

Overshadowed by the death of pop superstar Michael Jackson, Farrah Fawcett died with an unbelievable amount of dignity and grace. Cancer raveged that once phenomenal body, but couldn't beat her integrity, courage and inner beauty. All was on display as she went away with grace and love.

As a young guy in the late 70's I was the proud owner of the famous poster. I was in love with Farrah! Imagine how pleased I was when Ms. Fawcett decided to ditch the swimsuit and finally show us what we had wanted to see for years. Farrah Fawcett naked in Playboy. Beautiful! We shall miss this beautiful woman.

Michael Jackson 1958-2009

I look at the death of Michael Jackson with great sorrow. I loved the performer as a young teen. The impact he had on not only the music scene but the entire culture is undeniable. The whole world was a fan. Black, white, pink, blue, it didn't matter when it came to Michael Jackson. Everybody was a fan.

I do not mourn the loss of a great entertainer, I do mourn what he had become. It is sad that until he died I had not really gave him much thought since forever. He had become the weird guy, the guy everyone had put in the closet. Out of sight, out of mind, only on a rare occasion did we think of him in a good light. Good Bye Michael Jackson- We'll miss you much!

Reasons And What Not

What are the reasons for this blog? There really are none. I'm going to rant & rave about everyone and everything. Feel free to join me, rant & rave with me. Keep comments respectful and NO SPAM and we will get along fine.
