Couple Murdered

In this day and age that headline barely gets a response. The rest of the headline better get you pissed of at the senseless loss of life and the devastation this act of violence has caused.

Couple Who Adopted 12 Children Slain. This makes me sick to my stomach. Byrd and Melanie Billings had 16 children. 16 children now traumatized for life and parentless. For what? I ask again, for what? How could one do this to other human beings? How are these monsters created and what can we do to curb the violence in this world? Plenty of questions, few answers. Our prayers go out to the deceased and their family, their going to need them,

Infidelity

Infidelity, cheating on your spouse, adulterer, what ever you would like to call it. "It" seams that it is alright to practice this. Just take a look at the recent headlines beyond Steve McNair.

Take a look at this quick list of politicos that have crumbled in infidelity: John Edwards, Sen. John Ensign, Larry Craig, Elliot Spitzer, David Vitter, South Carolina Gov Mark Sanford. What does this say about our societ? I am afraid it doesn't say anything good. NFL players getting murdered by their mistress, MLB players walking out on their families, political ambition, and countless families ruined.

Is it worth it? I find it very hard to believe cheating on your spouse is worth you career, your reputation, your family, your life! Grow a sack fellas. You want to screw around on your wife? Be a real man and make her not your wife first. You want to sleep around? Divorce first, sleep around all you want after. Show some respect for someone you claimed to love!

Steve McNair 1973-2009

Once again we are here talking about death. Funny how that works isn't it. Steve McNair brought many people excitement. I have always been a big fan. I loved his toughness, his willingness to put it on the line for his team. Still liked him after his toughness cost me the fantasy football championship. The toughness had gotten me to that point so I couldn't be to upset.

Off the field the Quarterback seems to be like so many other men, unable to commit to their wife and their children. Was it worth it Steve? Obviously not. The Iranian waitress, who it seems shot the QB before turning the gun on herself, must have thought it was worth it. The way I understand it is McNair pulled an affair con, and it cost him his life. It looks as if McNair had mentioned divorce and marriage to this young woman, as many men have done. When the truth came out, no divorce no marriage, the waitress snapped. Now both are dead. My prayers go out to both families in this oh so avoidable tragedy, and I ask Steve McNair once again-Whas it worth it?

Farrah Fawcett 1947-2009

Overshadowed by the death of pop superstar Michael Jackson, Farrah Fawcett died with an unbelievable amount of dignity and grace. Cancer raveged that once phenomenal body, but couldn't beat her integrity, courage and inner beauty. All was on display as she went away with grace and love.

As a young guy in the late 70's I was the proud owner of the famous poster. I was in love with Farrah! Imagine how pleased I was when Ms. Fawcett decided to ditch the swimsuit and finally show us what we had wanted to see for years. Farrah Fawcett naked in Playboy. Beautiful! We shall miss this beautiful woman.

Michael Jackson 1958-2009

I look at the death of Michael Jackson with great sorrow. I loved the performer as a young teen. The impact he had on not only the music scene but the entire culture is undeniable. The whole world was a fan. Black, white, pink, blue, it didn't matter when it came to Michael Jackson. Everybody was a fan.

I do not mourn the loss of a great entertainer, I do mourn what he had become. It is sad that until he died I had not really gave him much thought since forever. He had become the weird guy, the guy everyone had put in the closet. Out of sight, out of mind, only on a rare occasion did we think of him in a good light. Good Bye Michael Jackson- We'll miss you much!
